One of the oldest layouts in the GGRS, the Ducktown & Settendown was started in 1990. The railroad has two loops and a trolley, and it is DC-powered with Aristocraft remote control. One of the loops passes over a bridge and through a tunnel. All wooden structures including buildings, bridges, and trestles were scratch-built by Charlie. A master gardener, Frances has done an outstanding job with the water feature and with the plantings in the layout and throughout the yard. The trolley line runs back and forth at the back of the line and uses an Aristocraft reversing unit. Charlie and Frances have hosted GGRS meetings On June 9, 2007, in June, 2003, in March, 1999, in June, 1998, and at least once prior to 1998.
