Chatsworth Division of the

Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad

Ted and Deborah Yarbrough, Chatsworth, GA

The Yarbrough's started their indoor layout in 1989 and their outdoor layout in 1992. The theme of the railroad is, of course, Colorado narrow gauge. The layout has multiple loops: a large dog bone, an oval around the watergarden, an oval aroung the former patio area, and a 5.5' x 9' indoor loop. Theireis about 400' of DC-powered mainline with a minimum 5' radius and a maximum 4.5% grade. Locos are mainly LGB Moguls, rolling stock is a variety from all makes. Original Pola buildings are being replaced with custom wood buildings. Ted's philosophy is that if the D&RGW could have run it, then it can run on my line! Therefore, there are a couple of locos or cars that did not run on the Rio Grande, but are operating here under D&RGW paint schemes. Scale is strictly 1:22.5. Ted and Deborah have hosted GGRS meetings on June 6, 2008, in June, 2005, and in September, 2000,
