This year, we returned to the Alpharetta Senior Activity Center for our annual Business Meeting and New Year's Party. The meeting was hosted by the GGRS Executive Board.
The 2011 Executive Board was introduced: Chairman Dan Michel; Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary Alan Mole; Membership Chairman Chris Haon; Program and Excursions Chairman Ted Yarbrough; Layout Chairman David Bennett; and David Cummins. Non-Board Officers are Newsletter Editor Lowell Dietz; and Webmaster Donald Nute.
During the business meeting, the financial report for 2010 and the budget for 2011 were presented, plans for participation in model railroad shows were discussed, and the members voted not to set up the club layout at the 2011 National Garden Railway Convention in Kansas City. Frances and Charlie Tidd were recognized for their many years of service to the GGRS since its inception by being named Life-Long Members of the club.
