The Georgia Garden Railway Society was the host club for the first ever Southeastern Garden Railroad Show. The club set up its layout on Thursday, April 30. The Banquet was Friday Evening, May 1. GGRS member Don Nute gave the banquet talk on "Southern Steam: Surviving Steam Locomotives within a Days' Drive of Atlanta." Don also gave a workshop on operating sessions for garden railroads. GGRS member Dave Cummins presented two workshops: one on building 7/8" two-foot narrow gauge locomotives and another on building large scale rolling stock.
